Curacao Cemetery: Westpunt 26/01/09—03/07/19
Photographs of the cemetery in Westpunt, a fishing village in the far West of the island. Some of these photos were taken in 2009, in the early days of my project, and the majority during a return visit in 2019. The cemetery is much cleaner and better maintained now than it was found in 2009, with less plant growth in the walkways. The front and back gates have been found locked in most years, but gaps in the fence allowed access recently. There is building of new kalders underway near the front of the cemetery.
