Curacao Cemetery: Santana Santa Maria
This is a large Catholic cemetery on Winston Churchillweg. It is unique among the cemeteries I've seen so far in Curacao in that it is not built on completely flat terrain, with crypts on multiple levels with steps leading up. While it lacks the grand monuments in some other Catholic cemeteries I've seen, it is colorful and well-tended. The oldest burial seen was dated 1933, and that crypt was overgrown and crumbling (photos included below). While walled, there is an unlocked entrance in the fence on the side towards the church, with abundant parking space. Telephone (+599) 9-868-2227. Ground photography July 2015.
